in her own words...

I'm a big believer in authenticity - be yourself, and things will happen the way they're supposed to. I saw a quote the other day that said, "The more authentic you can be the greater your life will become," and I absolutely believe that. I love connecting, opening up, learning about people and what makes them tick. I think you can find that in everything from the arts to dinner with friends, and those are the things I love to do. The best connections often come through laughter or music. Anyone who shows they have a sense of humor - especially if they're able to laugh at themselves - quickly earns my affection. I love simple pleasures. I'm looking for someone who enjoys the same things - frequent laughs, adventures, and being outside and appreciating why we live in Colorado. It's hard to describe what makes you connect with someone - it's often just there or it isn't - but I feel that I'm in a great place in life because I'm making the most of it, experiencing it as much as I can, and I want to expand that by spending time with someone who is making the most of their own life and who they are. Most importantly, I'm looking for someone who loves life and wants to enjoy every day, and someone who appreciates the people in his life. I remember hearing something over a decade ago (from someone whose name I can't even recall) that has stuck with me: when someone asked whether a new job we were about to do was "fun," she said "I wouldn't do it if it weren't fun." That's such a great outlook - (almost) anything can be enjoyable with the right outlook, and life is so much better when you look at it that way. In case I'm sounding a little too happy-go-lucky here, of course I do have my pet peeves...apostrophes in the wrong places, bad drivers (aka below-speed-limit-in-the-left-lane drivers), listening to anyone eat cereal. But of course the most fun comes when you can laugh with someone over those things. :)
