My friends often describe me as eclectic and edgy, often in response to a funky shirt, unusual music taste or a quirky movie preference. I, however, like to think I'm quite classical underneath all that, indeed (at times) old fashioned. This sentiment carries through to other parts of my life, for instance, many of my favorite musicians try to bend genre boundaries, but often come from serious classical training. I think the thing that makes me smile most is passion and reverence. It doesn't matter what you are interested in, if you have a genuine love for it you can convince me that it's worthwhile. Using film as an example, I love Woody Allen movies because many are really love stories to New York, to comedians of old, or to an time period of artistic renaissance; I feel that such love makes the final product much more exciting. Going down this list of "inspiring questions" match provides me, it seems the next thing I need to talk about is what I've accomplished. While I feel that I have done well in my professional life, the things I've been most proud of were extracurricular. Probably the thing I am most proud of is a project I did in college, which can only really be described as a cross-curricular competition to construct a two story art-house. I'm really grateful to be out in San Francisco, and it was really a chain of lucky breaks that ended me up here. I am really enjoying this city right now and am looking for someone with a bit of a different perspective with whom I could experience parts of this city, and California, that I have not yet. I have a great group of friends but it would be nice to have a experience San Francisco from a more couple-y perspective.
