His 10 interests
in his own words...
What I'm looking for, very briefly: Nick and Nora Charles without the heavy drinking. If you even "get" this reference we may be a match. More detail: Do you remember "Opus" from the 80s? Have you ever memorized a "Monty Python" skit? I like animals (especially cats) but discovered that I am allergic to them. I usually get along well with "cat people" but am also OK with other pets and their humans. Physical description not covered in the multiple choice answers: hirsute, but for the top of my head (go figure!). If you do not like hairy bodies run away now. Relationship status : just plain single - none of the multiple choice answers fits. I can take care of myself and I am an amateur gourmet. I see a huge number of movies, I explain myself with too many movie analogies and do so a little too often. What makes (made) me laugh: Douglas Adams, Berkeley Breathed, Tom Tomorrow, Richard Brautigan, David Sedaris, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Terry Pratchett and Roger Ebert's reviews of bad movies. I like that which is bad enough to be funny but in small doses. What makes me cringe: the phrase "socially relevant," SUVs, overcooked vegetables, most politicians, pundits (beats working), smoking, and New Jersey. Looking for someone kind, sane and intelligent. Directness and not taking yourself too seriously highly desirable. I really do not need to know all about your ex(s) and you do not need to hear about mine. You read books. And gradually growing closer works for you. I am open to possiblities but prefer an LTR. I remain realistic and accept the fact that I may have 'missed the boat' on the "wife and kids" kind of life. That I do not hold out for one possibility or another does not mean that I am not interested. Oh, and my favorite color: Blue, no... yellow - red -- Ahhhhhhhhhh! Update 2011: I have re-subscribed after a hiatus. As I read and learn more I find myself much more rooted in the world of science and skepticism. I like evidence.
