(this is his dominant personality type)
(he also shows elements of this type)
Described as intense. What more to say? Brevity. My haikus: like tweets.
He is a tough-minded, independent thinker who likes to explore ideas or problems thoroughly. Yet he has a wild side and is not interested in maintaining routine social engagements either.
He gravitates to men and women who are intellectually exciting and like to discuss topics broadly and thoroughly.
He tends to like someone who is spontaneous, even mischievous, as well as a mate who can appreciate his rugged individualism and support of his drive to succeed.
A few excerpts from his personality test:
- I understand complex machines easily
- I am intrigued by rules and patterns that govern systems
- I am tough-minded

Hello ladies. Look at your computer. Now back to me. Now back to your computer. Sadly, your computer isn't me, but if you stopped reading the profile and clicked on the photo, your computer could look like me. I'm on a dating site. OK, now serious. The "intensity" adjective in the tagline is a much more accurate picture of who I am, compared to much of the rest of this. I clown around to tone that down, since the core of who I am is very deliberate and controlled. I still like to have fun (maybe even at your expense), but it must be intense fun ONLY. The best way to travel is with lists of goals, but daily plans decided on the spot. Oh, and without Internet. That way, you talk to locals. And the best locals to talk to are old people. They just love talking. Plus, they probably know more than some tour guide. I take up new sports a lot, and only occasionally stick with them. Snowboarding last year made for the most satisfying hot-tubbing. Windsurfing this summer made me thank Bernoulli. I want to race my motorcycle this fall. One thing I'm consistent about is doing triathlons, although I'm not consistent about training for them. I grew up in the US, but partially in between cultures. Some things about American culture I still don't understand. I never watch sports. When I was in LA a couple weeks ago, I noticed EVERY billboard advertising movies or TV, and it struck me how I was not the target demographic (whereas the billboards on the 101 are right on-target, recruiting me for other software companies). I eat lots of meat. Also vegetables, but I love my meat. I hope you do to. So, you vegetarian girls have some extra work to do. Vegan girls: it won't work out; we're on different ends of the idealism/pragmatism trade-off spectrum. I'm told that I'm not supposed to list disqualifiers, but my experience tells me this matters. If you can inspire me to be a better person and can have fun at the same time, I want to hear from you!
