(this is his dominant personality type)
(he also shows elements of this type)
I cannot turn the clock back but I can wind it up again
He is an independent thinker who approaches problems with an analytical, exacting, systematic and resourceful mind. Yet he also has a traditional, even sentimental streak and can be very protective of those he loves.
Because he is ambitious, tough-minded and hardworking, his close friends admire him. Yet his complex personality is often hidden behind a wall of composure and logic.
He is attracted to someone who can complement him-someone who is verbally graceful, who weighs alternatives carefully and listens actively, and has well-honed social skills.
A few excerpts from his personality test:
- I highly value deep emotional intimacy in my relationships
- I am very sensitive to people's feelings and needs
- I have a wide range of interests
His 9 interests
in his own words...
I enjoy laughing and see the humor in life around me ever when others do not. Over the years I have become self-confident enough to learn not only from others' mistakes but also from mine. Family and close friends are a high priority for me. I have been told that I am a good listener and, therefore, am able to support others' projects as well as express myself honestly and clearly. I would describe myself as an introvert though am not without social skills. I have a wide variety of interests (my work is one of them) and, in general, I tend to be thoughtful and intuitive. I read a great deal (literature, history, and the NYT), love listening to (mostly, but not exclusively, classical) music, and seeing the world (both Europe and more recently Asia). Most of the time I am pretty competent and like to finish what I start. I think that I would be happiest in a relationship where my partner and I are loving friends with chemistry. This would slowly come about as we learn to trust each other and communicate without fear or embarrassment. To open up it is important to share each other's fundamental values and interests but also to respect interests we do not share. If we do so, we would be working hardest at changing ourselves and not the other.
