His 8 interests
in his own words...
I'm currently a second semester senior at Georgetown University majoring in Classical Studies and minoring in Philosophy. I'm very much interested in history, art, politics, and the like. I'm a libertarian and an agnostic, but I'm open to all other views. My taste in movies, music, and literature would be best described as eclectic, ranging from Memento to Snatch, from Elliot Smith to Nine Inch Nails, and from the works of Kurt Vonnegut to the works of HP Lovecraft. I'm generally very level headed and easy going, and my sense of humor has been described as sarcastic and dry. I consider myself to be a realist, neither straying too far into blind optimism nor crushing pessimism. I enjoy going out and exploring new things, both in the city and in the outdoors. I've always been a huge fan of going to concerts and I can't think of anything better than singing along to every song in the band's set list. I also really appreciate good movies and I try my best to catch the more thought provoking films while they're still in theater (think The Social Network, not Transformers). DC also holds a wealth of interesting museums, galleries, museums, bars, and restaurants I like to frequent. Intelligent conversation is also very important to me. I have a lot to say about generally every topic and love to hear the opinions of others, especially if they can share something unique with me. I do enjoy lively debate, though I know when to back off when necessary. Conversation is important, but silence can be equally as meaningful in many instances when a moment must simply be experienced and not commented on. In regards to future plans, I'd like to eventually get into a serious relationship, but I realize that rushing into things is never a good idea. Forging a close bond with someone is very important to me as I believe strongly in equality and openness in a relationship.
