Seeking the mind body solution
He is a tough-minded, independent thinker who likes to explore ideas or problems thoroughly. Yet he has a wild side and is not interested in maintaining routine social engagements either.
He gravitates to men and women who are intellectually exciting and like to discuss topics broadly and thoroughly.
He tends to like someone who is spontaneous, even mischievous, as well as a mate who can appreciate his rugged individualism and support of his drive to succeed.
A few excerpts from his personality test:
- I am willing to take risks to do what I want to do
- I am very empathetic
- I like to get to know my friends' deepest needs and feelings
His 10 interests
in his own words...
I'm an intellectual sort with a wry sense of humor and a lot of curiosity. I'm fit and like to play tennis, ski and sail. I'd rather jog or read a good book than watch a football game, if that tells you anything about me. I'm comfortable with myself, but hopefully not smug. So I try to stay open to different ways of living and thinking. Prior careers have enabled me to travel to the four corners of the globe to places most people don't visit for their holidays. These experiences shaped my life in profound ways but mostly they made me grateful for everything I have. They also led me to live my life more purposefully. I don't wait for life to happen to me and I try to live my ideals. I've met ordinary people who risked everything for their principles. I hope I would have the courage to do the same if circumstances require, but no one knows about that for sure until the time comes to act. My children are an important part of my life. They have taught me things about myself I didn't know I was missing. When they were very young, I loved experiencing the wonder of discovery through their eyes. As they grew, they were simply fun to be around. As they pass through adolescence and begin to separate in that healthy but crazy way that only adolescents do, I'm beginning to understand why Black Bears eat their young. Don't be alarmed. My ethnicity doesn't include Black Bear so far as I know, and I would welcome any children my partner might have and love and mentor them as my own. Unconditional love makes people do things they never imagined, like going down in a shark cage with my budding marine biologist son, or eating at a Burger King in Florence with my adorable super talented but cuisine challenged daughter. There are few greater feelings in life than making someone you love happy. I hope to find a best friend for whom I would go down in a shark cage, although I hope the knowledge that I would do so is enough for her.
