His 8 interests
in his own words...
If someone asked if I have any regrets from my past, my default answer used to be 'no'. I suppose it's the more common and safer answer. Having lived for 3 decades now, I consider myself slightly more wiser and mature than I used to be. If someone asked me the same question now, I don't really have a default answer. I try to understand the intention of the person who is asking the question. If the questioner is honest and genuine, I'd say yes. However, it's not to say I live in the past by any measure... quite to the contrary, if it weren't for the past events, I wouldn't be the person I am today. All of them were learning experiences. If I could go back in time, would I change anything? I would have said 'no' before. But now, I would say 'yes'. There are plenty of things I would have done differently. But then, I have no desire to go back, even if I could.. On first impressions I may come across as a serious and unwitted person. I am an introvert, and sometimes I find myself listening way too carefully to my friends over coffee during table conversations. Often I can be annoying because of my rational and serious responses that can kill the joy of the moment. But, not always.. once I get to know the person and am comfortable, I tend to go with a free flow of geeky and naughty humor. My love for science have grown over the past years and my love for philosophy allows me to reexamine my values and beliefs on a constant basis. Being born to a relatively conservative and religious country I find myself unable to speak my mind openly sometimes and some of my views have to be kept to myself. My love for food and health brings me joy everyday. It enhances my senses. I don't have to do anything big or majestic to feel a sense accomplishment. I can feel ecstasy, joy and whole from the little things in life. I think my purpose is to live a life that matters.
