His 9 interests
in his own words...
I am a lawyer and love the law, in a nerdy kind of way. I have a creative side, too, having spent all of my 20s as an aspiring screenwriter. (Note: "aspiring screenwriter" is Hollywoodeese for "failed screenwriter.") I cherish time spent with friends at jazz shows, coffee shops, or lounge bars. I love mornings and never-ending walks. I am a New York City snob, but also am happy in the middle of nature. I have a streak of quirkiness. If I ever start a punk rock band, I'm gonna name our first album "Steve Bartman's Revenge." I'm a junkie of politics and world affairs. I support gay marriage. I’m absolutely amazed at the fact that I actually exist. I vent by working out. I am Inigo Montoya. I’m worldly, even unfortunately cynical at times, but I'm naive enough to believe that many of life's questions have been answered by "Dead Poet's Society" and "It's a Wonderful Life." I also once caused an evacuation at LaGuardia Airport. Seriously. So, what do I look for in a girlfriend? Intellectual curiosity and a sharp sense of humor, particularly if sarcastic or dry. A passion for something: your family, your job, a hobby, volunteering, something, anything. A love for the spectacular. An equal fascination for the ordinary and mundane, like sipping a hot cup of tea, eating a bowl of Cheerios, or exploring old buildings. A desire to travel. A tendency to be kind to waiters and baristas. A strain of silliness. A big heart. A very big heart -- empathy, empathy, empathy; I love people and want to go through life putting smiles on people's faces, even if only by small gestures, and I'd like to be with someone who feels the same.
