Just pretend I said something witty.

He is an independent thinker who approaches problems with an analytical, exacting, systematic and resourceful mind. Yet he also has a traditional, even sentimental streak and can be very protective of those he loves.

Because he is ambitious, tough-minded and hardworking, his close friends admire him. Yet his complex personality is often hidden behind a wall of composure and logic.

He is attracted to someone who can complement him-someone who is verbally graceful, who weighs alternatives carefully and listens actively, and has well-honed social skills.

A few excerpts from his personality test:

  • I would rather have loyal friends than interesting friends
  • My friends would say I am very curious
  • I pursue intellectual topics thoroughly and regularly

in his own words...

Hello. I’m Joe. Exotic, I know. In some ways, I'm contradictory. I am very driven in my career and an officer in the navy reserve, but very laid back in my personal life. I'm generally socially reserved and like small groups where you can interact with people intimately. But I'm not a "shrinking violet" by any means. I'm free-spirited and generally follow a 'live and let live' philosophy. But I do have strongly held beliefs/values and, while I've got tact, I must admit that at some point something I say will probably either offend -or- endear myself to you. Thankfully, I think it's usually the latter. The good news is that I think this makes me interesting, and no one's thrown anything at me, yet. I'm extremely polite, but occasionally enjoy testing the limits of social conventions. Sometimes it takes me a little time to really open up with someone, but I'm loyal to a fault. I'm straightforward, like stable people, and really don't like constant drama. I love learning. I like to believe I'm kindhearted, and I think that those who know me would agree. What do -I- look for in a woman? Well, above all, intelligence and independent-mindedness. Someone I can trust. Bonus points for being romantic and family oriented. Humor is vital - I love to laugh (who doesn't?), and have been called witty, myself. Or maybe a half-wit. I can't remember. Naturally, I have my flaws. Work prevents me from traveling overseas all that often. I don't mind if you do, though. I treat those I care about, but I'm of simple tastes myself. I definitely do the absent-minded professor routine occasionally, but I'm usually more than on top of things...I'm also oblivious to much pop-culture. I'm looking for people outside my normal social circle with whom I enjoy spending time and getting to know know further. I'm not in a huge rush to get in a really serious relationship, but I'm definitely open to something developing that in that manner if the chemistry's right.

Take the personality test everyone is talking about.
