He tends to be traditional. He feels deeply responsible for just about everyone around him and can be fiercely protective of those he loves.

With his stoical attitude coupled with his dependable, cooperative and “can-do” spirit, he often becomes a central and effective player in his social and business networks.

He is attracted to those who share his values; he admires those who are direct, analytical, authentic and assertive and can enjoy his orderly and compassionate nature.

A few excerpts from his personality test:

  • I am more creative than most people
  • After watching an emotional film, I often still feel moved by it several hours later
  • When making a decision, I like to stick to the facts rather than be swayed by people's feelings

in his own words...

I never considered myself the dating-site kind-of-guy ... and I nearly failed Chemistry in high school, so I find competing this profile a bit ironic. That said, I think the best way to describe me is to share my Myers-Briggs score: ISTJ. If you don't know the scale: I tend to be an introvert (although many beg to differ); I am more concrete than abstract; I am split on thinking-feeling, but lean toward logic; and I am not spontaneous (although I am working on it). If I have not lost you already, I am an avid follower of current events. I am passionate about NFL football and college basketball. I never met a mug of beer I did not like and certainly enjoy a nice bottle of wine now and again. I have a broad and eclectic taste in entertainment and music, but lean toward comedy and good drama. Not at all opposed to action/sci-fi. I have worked in the non-profit world for 20 years in communication and organizational strategy. I love to work ... and only recently found that elusive work-life balance that people say they dream about. Is it bad form to admit that I don't know what I am looking for? How about I begin with what I am NOT looking for. I don't want to be smothered. I don't want to be changed and I don't plan to change anyone. Not in search of relationship drama. It would be great to meet someone to laugh with, enjoy D.C., travel and be there for in good times and bad.
