His 14 interests
in his own words...
Why am I here? I have a decent number of friends, and we do a lot of fun things together. But. I have so many interests and things I love to do, I sometimes feel sad that I can't share at least some of these things more deeply with one special woman. Examples: concerts at the Kennedy Center, hiking or biking in Rock Creek Park, reading in front my fireplace, cooking a meal together, traveling, SCUBA diving, skiing, the mountains, playing the piano with me (I have a baby grand) or feeding the homeless at my church. I lived in Barcelona for a year when I was 16. I loved it and it and that changed my life forever. Even though I grew up in a little town in Wisconsin, I feel as though I'm only half American. And one of my greatest pleasures in life is making others laugh - so that's why all my friends think I'm funny. If they didn't, I guess we wouldn't be friends! Evelyn Waugh's black humor is probably what makes me laugh the most, but Monty Python is a close second. And I love Colbert, that Catholic ironist. My Catholic faith is the foundation of my life - I'd be lost without it. It would be great if I could share this with you. But if not, you will need to understand that for me, life without God would have no meaning. I believe everyone has a purpose in life, that everything that happens to you happens for a reason, and that faith in the Holy Trinity is the primary avenue to discern this purpose. Suffering is
