in her own words...
As I was planning my 40th birthday on the plane from Geneva to back to DC, I realized that I was finally ready to settle down. Never being one to r been one to "settle", I started making a wishlist of the qualities I wanted in my perfect mate. In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that I am a litigation paralegal, so I am open to negotiation. With that caveat, here is my wishlist: 1. Professional: not necessarily looking for the hard-driving millionaire CEO, but someone who is well-educated with a good, solid job that is enjoyable and fulfilling; 2. Adventurous: willing to try new things at least once. If you try cave-diving and its not for you, we don't have to do it again. If you reject the idea out of hand, I may go by myself and flirt with the guide; 3. Sense of humor: I can take a bit of good-natured teasing and hope you can too. Appreication of the comedy of Family Guy and Ricky Gervais is a definite plus; 4. Confindence: biggest turn-on and biggest problem in my life. My dating history is littered with smart, handsome accomplished men who are confident to point of arrogance. A well-dressed man with a confident smile is sexy, a mean snob is not; 5. Not easiily categorized: I tend to dress in classic preppy clothes, but have a few tattoos. I'm a vegeatrian who can cook a mean steak. The perfect weekend would be a charity event on Friday, shopping and brunch on Saturday, opera Saturday night and football on Sunday; 6. Efficient use of time: I work long hours and travel often. It doesn't bother me if my partner does as well. However, in the time we have together, whether its dinner by Skype during a business trip or a weeklong vacation in Greece, the person I'm with is my only focus; 7. Baggage: let's face it, at 39, I have a past and assume you do as well. I hope that I have learned from my experiences and become a better person because of it. I don't believe in putting down my exes and try to concentrate on what I learne
