in her own words...
So who will you see if you meet me. A woman who relishes a good meal, loves the theater (I miss Broadway, but the Arena has been amazing), and is always up for a movie (Almodovar, Jonathan Demme, noir and thrillers, though a good part of my heart belongs to 30s comedies). I’ll even admit to some serious TV love (nothing matches “The Wire” in my view, but I did become a “True Blood” addict). Someone who delights in travel – last year, Peru for an amazing two weeks, Antigua for one, and regular weekend forays to connect with friends. You’ll meet an advocate who loves her work (indigent defense), and always has: that is a strong and unquestioned passion for me, and one I feel very lucky to have. Once you get to know me better you’ll learn the finer things: that I crave red meat, don’t revel in early rising, and miss my parents. If there’s sun outside I’m basking in it. You’ll see that I don’t care much for rules, except the grammatical kind; that I know the words to most anything by Stevie Wonder; that I wish I went out dancing more. Decent coffee is a must and real chocolate borders on sublime. You’ll find R&B oldies in my ears at the gym and unread New Yorkers in my apartment. I hope you’ll see that while I love going out, I’m looking for more reasons to stay home. And you – what do I hope to find? It would be great if you were smart and irreverent and found humor even in the bleak. Kindness is critical. I hope what you do matters to you, that you’re interested in what happens in the world and want to talk about it. Liking to explore and travel would be a bonus. I hope you basically like your
