in her own words...

After a year of living in this city, I've decided that the only way to meet someone great is to really put myself out there... so here I find myself. *big gulps* I am an eternal optimist, genuine, affectionate, intelligent, hard working, independent, compassionate, loyal and sometimes silly. :) I love to laugh, spend time with the people I love and explore the world around me. My family (I'm the oldest of seven girls) and friends are at the center of everything I do and I feel lucky to have their love and support day to day. I have been fortunate enough to have had many opportunities come my way in the last few years, among them the chance to live and work in Ireland for two years while pursuing my Masters. My Bachelors is in Acting and Directing, and while I loved the time I spent auditioning, performing and intermittently waiting tables, the life of an actor was not for me. However, what I learned along that journey is that at the heart of things, I'm truly passionate about the arts. There is a profound potential in the recognition of how our humanity links us to one another, and it can be so easily discovered through the creative, expressive medium of the arts. Be it on a page, stage, canvas or a melody wafting through the air, we are connected through our individual experiences in a very palpable way. Bearing witness to that power is an important part of my life and will be the foundation for the professional work I will do as a practicing Dramatherapist. I finished my MA Dramatherapy in 2010 and look forward to pursuing my PhD within the next five to ten years. The person who I want to be with: values family, does not take themselves too seriously, enjoys deep conversations but still embraces a silly / quirkier side of their personality that isn't afraid of spontaneity; someone who knows how to relax and enjoy themselves but doesn't shy away from hard work when it's called for; someone to share all of the complexities, trials, triumphs and celebrations
