in her own words...

Vintage is for Lovers Q & A: 1.My daily inspirations are rooted in nature and the environment...whether it be a park I like to frequent or a city I find a connection with. Sometimes the thing I create is not solely reflecting where I currently reside. Sometimes a memory or a culmination of places and the experiences I had there show their influence in whatever I'm working on. 2.Most treasured item(s) in my home are all the journals, letters and photos I've compiled over the analog mountain of memories. Oh yes! And my grandmother's violin, passed down to her from her orchestra conductor then passed to me. Luckily I was the only violin player in the family :) 3.This one's a tie...lobster mac and cheese or green curry with coconut rice. 4.My imperfections and failures are just as much a blessing as my successes and my talents. 5.I suppose I realized I was an artist when people started commenting on gifts that I created. At a very young age, I felt solace in putting my hands to work. My Renaissance Grandfather had a workshop where he got into nearly everything from painting, drawing, woodworking, instrument repair, print pressing, leather tooling and furniture making. It is in the giving of what I create that I enjoy. It also gives me a deadline. My mother always encouraged my homemade gifts as a child and so began my tradition of making all (well... most) of my christmas gifts. 6.Even if what you set upon to create is not panning out to be/look as you had imagined it would....finish it anyway. You may surprise yourself with something beautiful...and surprising ourselves is a rare and wonderful feeling. 7.I'm a little more old-fashioned than I may come across. 8.I love vintage! I love the stories...told or imagined, behind something preowned. My teenage self could often be found spending an entire saturday perusing the aisles of philly's best thrifts. From the musky smell of a leather jacket circa 1964 to the wear and tear of a used guitar.

Take the personality test everyone is talking about.
