in his own words...
I remember the first day that I discovered how to make a lines overlap when I was a kid. I was drawing a Tyrannosaurs on a scrap of notebook paper. The sensation was a bit like figuring out a tiny sliver of the universe in all of it's loveliness all at once. I am addicted. One should never have to grow out of a damn fine dinosaur drawing. It's a good thing to have a sense of wonder about life and art allows me this. Rawr! etc. I am occasionally funny, but I am soft-spoken so you have to pay attention. I imagine that I have a consistent look on my face when I think I am funny. This may be irritating or terribly charming. Probably a bit of both, but I'm going to imagine it as leaning more towards charming. I love my family and I love my friends. Life is too short for shallow relationships and I am fairly incapable of insincerity. Sometimes I think of this as a handicap and sometimes I think it's a fantastic gift. Trying to navigate the world out of an authentic place is frustrating from time to time but I imagine it's worthwhile. Consequentially I register as shy until I have a sense of my company. I love to listen to people's stories and I am learning to love mine more. I go to church because generally I meet kind people there and the story of Jesus a lovely one to feel like a part of. There are worse endeavors in life than striving to love well. It adds a bit of beauty and color to my life. It seems to me that perfect stability and security do not exist in life, to pursue them desperately is to pursue boredom. I have never seen a person happier because they owned a large number of expensive objects. I'm looking for someone kind and gentle who gets excited about being alive and participating in the lives of others. She should laugh about almost everything. Life is a pretty fantastic thing to share. Good company makes music sound better.
