His 9 interests
in his own words...
So here I sit, in front of the blank profie page- oh blank page- how you mock me with your blinking cursor…OK. So, one lesson in life I take to heart is that you have to laugh. I can laugh until tears are running down my face at the silliest of things. But be warned: it's not a pretty sight- my face gets all red a wrinkly and I look like I'm having some sort of fit...but it feels sooooo good! Another important lesson I've learned is about gratitude: I am thankful and lucky to be healthy, happy and to have good friends and family. I feel blessed in many ways and try not to take anything for granted. So laughter and gratitude (not necessarily in that order) - not a bad start... A passion for much of my life has been travel- not the 2 weeks at Club Med (although I must say, their brochures look very appealing…) but the long term/budget kind of travel- throwing on a backpack, jumping on a bus and sitting down next to chickens and the occasional goat. I am equally enchanted by exotic places and disturbed at the poverty affecting much of the world. Yet, some of the nicest and warmest people are from the poorest of areas (go figure…). I am happy to say that I have filled up 2 passports and working on number three. Some of my favorite place (in no particular order): Antananarivo, Madagascar. La Paz, Bolivia, the outdoor food market in Port Louis, Mauritius, San Gimignano, Italy. Ubud, Bali. Bocas Del Toro, Panama. Arches, Utah. Monument Valley, AZ. Big Sur, and of course, San Francisco... Other interests? Surfing, biking, nature, exploring the city, cooking, winning the lottery, macrame, collecting 'Golden Girls' memorabilia, (that one is more of a passion than a mere interest). I also play guitar (but can’t sing to save my life). I am an excellent air-drummer (not professionally) and my next endeavor is to actually learn to play real drums. I love how interesting and diverse the bay area is and am constantly amazed at all is has to offer. As for me, I have been
