in his own words...
I'm a writer who likes geeky stuff: comics, genre fiction, etc. I spend most weekends watching movies. I'm kind of a movie buff. I enjoy most genres. I can enjoy some mindless entertainment, but can also enjoy movies that require an above-100 IQ. I'm a hopeless romantic and sentimentalist, so I actually enjoy a good love story. Don't get that confused with Rom-Coms or "Chick Flicks", though. I'm talking about "(500) Days of Summer", "Like Crazy", and "Blue Valentine". As stated earlier, I am a writer. Majored in Creative Writing, and got a B.A. in it, so I better be writing. Being a writer makes me a reader, too. I'm a slow reader, but I love books. I could just chill out at a bookstore all day (well, probably not, but you get the sentiment). Really, an ideal day for me is sitting in a cafe, drinking a good cup of coffee and getting lost in a book or writing away on my novel. I'm not the social type. Not the club-goer. Not my scene; not my people. I'm not really good at conversing with people; I feel much more comfortable writing it all out (thank god for texting. Haha). But, you know, talking face-to-face is kinda key to building a relationship, so I'm working on it. I enjoy working out and going to the gym a couple times a week, but this doesn't make me the most active guy. Sure, a nice walk around Golden Gate Park or Land's End is nice, but I don't bike nor hike. DISCLAIMER: I don't drive. I don't even have a license. Nor do I really have any ambition to learn how to drive. I'm sure I'll learn eventually, but at the moment, I traverse my lovely city via public transit. So, if you're looking to be driven, I am NOT your guy. Sorry. I'm looking for a fellow geek, pure and simple; someone who isn't afraid to let their geek flag fly high. However, MUST NOT LIKE the following: Family Guy (Seth McFarlane, in general) and Twilight. Crap. Haha. But, seriously, they're crap.
