Savvy/smart/sweet woman looking for the guy she will want to hold hands with (and shag) when she's 80

She is an independent thinker who approaches problems with an analytical, exacting, systematic and resourceful mind. Yet she also has a traditional, even sentimental streak and can be very protective of those she loves.

Because she is ambitious, tough-minded and hardworking, her close friends admire her. Yet her complex personality is often hidden behind a wall of composure and logic.

She is attracted to someone who can complement her-someone who is verbally graceful, who weighs alternatives carefully and listens actively, and has well-honed social skills.

A few excerpts from her personality test:

  • I am tough-minded
  • When reading, I enjoy it when the writer takes a sidetrack to say something beautiful or meaningful
  • It is important to respect authority

in her own words...

At first glance -- I'm attractive, I usually dress well, and I seem somewhat cultured and all that. I drink wine more often than beer. I might seem like a boring yuppie. Upon further inspection, I have my M1 license; you might overhear me and realize that I have a truck driver's mouth (except with my mom, small children, and some clients); I have a couple of (smallish) tattoos); I snowboard and am a novice surfer. You'll hear me call BS on a friend who is, well, being FOS (they expect and look to me for that sorta thing). You'll see me smoking a cigar and drinking Bruichladdich (neat, of course). I love to watch NFL games (49ers season tix - w00t!). Further, you might see me, even in a sober state, trip and/or drop food on myself. Some guy friends have called me a "guys' girl." Kids love me and I love them - they can tell I genuinely like them and am not being patronizing. My friends are my chosen family and are extremely important to me. I'm a few months out of a significant relationship. I have put my career and other people (clients, family, partners) first during most of my adult life, but I'm really seeking balance. I haven't chosen partners very well in the past, but I now know what I'm looking for (I think ;) ). Being professionally successful is still important to me, but I also want a family someday (and I'm 41 - oy!). And I don't mean I want to have a kid on my own - I mean I want a loving, healthy, nuclear family, which includes a guy (husband eventually, I'm thinking) who I adore who adores me (this is a requirement) and we have at least one dog and a kid or two that we tolerate as well. ;) I don't think that's too much to ask? I'm looking for a guy who's caring, attractive, intelligent, painfully honest, classy (but still cheeky), fit, modest, independent (not needy but still lovey), a bit old-fashioned and open to having a family someday in the not-so-distant future. I tend to appreciate nerdy guys because they are wicked smart and also under
