Her 16 interests
in her own words...
I am an idealist and this gets me in trouble often. I am usually very direct and truthful and this also gets me into trouble at times. I love to laugh. I believe life is a gift and must be approached that way. I like to talk about feelings (yep!), although I would never push someone to disclose feelings they do not wish to express. Although I have been a performer/singer most of my life, I am finding that I really am pretty shy and realizing that my nerves always get the best of me when I know I have to be in front of people. Odd, since I have been pushed in front of people ever since I can remember. President of this and that, teacher, performer, music director, artistic director, all jobs which require one to be in front. I'm not saying I don't like it sometimes, but it is definitely not my favorite place to be. I am just now coming to terms with this, my calling, and this, my somewhat introverted temperament. I have just moved to San Diego after living 40 years in Fairbanks, Alaska, so my social life is limited, although I am finding friends here and there. I have never be as alone as I am now, and I see it as not a bad thing. Finally I am getting in touch with my wants and needs rather than always focusing on how to please my mate, children, boss, cause, what have you. I won't say it is always easy, but I do believe this time with myself is very important. However, the truth is, I like men and male companionship and would appreciate some quality time with the right person. Who or what am I looking for? That is a tough one, isn't it? Someone who will talk , but also, who likes to listen. Someone who likes life and wants the most out of it. Honesty, fun-loving; very important. A self starter, as in, "Why don't we drive up to so and so and watch the sunset from there?"
