Lara

64 | San Diego, California

Atheist, skeptic, free thinker in love with science and art in all its forms and wanting to learn something new every day.

She is a tough-minded, independent thinker who likes to explore ideas or problems thoroughly. Yet she has a wild side and is not interested in maintaining routine social engagements either.

She gravitates to men and women who are intellectually exciting and like to discuss topics broadly and thoroughly.

She tends to like someone who is spontaneous, even mischievous, as well as a mate who can appreciate her rugged individualism and support of her drive to succeed.

A few excerpts from her personality test:

  • People should behave in ways that are morally correct
  • I like to figure out how things work
  • I am intrigued by rules and patterns that govern systems

in her own words...

I'm looking for someone unafraid of looking at the world for what it really is, who loves the earth, space, science, music, arts, and doing wacky, crazy, nerdy, fun things. I luxuriate in the mysteries of the universe and at the human capability and drive to investigate and understand it. I loathe cruelty and am unafraid of speaking out when confronted by those who would take advantage of others. I would like a special friend who can appreciate the beauty of little things, and the marvel of the big things, but with no pretense and no attempts to fill in the gaps with flim-flam and fantasy, especially religious or medical flim-flam. On the other hand, I love science fiction and fantasy and the intellectual ability to create whole universes with the stroke of a pen. Travel would be wonderful, but someone I spend time with has to be understand the fine balance between making dreams come true and keeping within budget. No big drinkers or gamblers, pretty please. Moderation is a virtue, and tolerance a personal guide. Balance is key, whether it's balancing the exploding population of our planet or eating the "right" foods. Do you like to watch and then evaluate movies, including everything from the sets and script to the acting finesse and subtext? I may be the person to hang with. (And it doesn't hurt if you also know that it's perfectly grammatically correct to end a sentence with a preposition.) Odd things about me: I think Comic-Con in costume is a good time; I want to live to see flying cars in common use; I like all types of animals, even the slithery, scaly kinds.

Take the personality test everyone is talking about.
