in her own words...

How would my friends describe me? Loyal is what I'd like to think! Sweet, shy...those are in my high school yearbook... although I'm not nearly as shy as I used to be. I've run the gamut (and can hold my own) from Suzy Homemaker to Interior Designer, from black tie affairs to conventions to ...flea markets! I've learned through time that it takes effort on both sides to build and maintain a relationship. I know that communication is a key element - if you can't talk to one another, what's the point? I think smart is definitely sexy (along with silvering hair). I want to find someone I think is special - they are the first person I think of when I come across something interesting. I like holding hands; I like laughing at an inside joke. Honesty is essential, trust is almost always too difficult to repair once broken. I love traveling; more of the United States so far than anywhere else, but I still want to see and touch and experience places all over the world. A favorite trip of mine included spending time in New Orleans - I drove out of the city about 70 miles and worked my way back in by way of several plantation homes...touring, learning - getting a feel for the history and the culture of the place. I loved it there - the food, the heat, the charm.. I love exploring like that - learning is part of the adventure. I like car shows (pastime inherited from my dad) and flea markets, as well as museums and theaters. My 19 year old son and I have seen several photographic art shows since we moved here to LA. I'm a member at Huntington Gardens, and of the L.A. Conservancy - great for exhibits and tours. My pictures show me through the last 30 years - I think I look my age - I'm 48! My point is to show you how I've aged through the years. But I still have that sparkle in my eyes, and I still have my great smile, which are the two things I've been complimented on most in my life.....
