FULL DISCLOSURE! My color photo is two years old, my b/w is five years old. I don't look that different (or you'll be the judge, literally, when we meet!) but I promise I'll put some more recent ones up as soon as I have some good ones, ok? That said. I work in art publishing and published a couple of books of my own. Clearly, I'm an intellectual (can't you tell from the glasses?), but I also like to get my hands dirty working in the garden and fixing up my 1907 Craftsman house. Using my body and my hands gives me a great sense of being connected to the earth. I was also an athlete in my youth and still work out (I play a pretty mean ping pong, I'm told). I'm equally comfortable with my ripped-up cargo pants and going to dinner at Fouquet's (although not that interested in the latter any more). I love walking in the wind, surprises, Sunday afternoon naps, discovering something, open spirits, honorable people, the scent of freesias, and a million other things. Separated ten months ago after a 25-year marriage, I'm just dipping my toes in the water. What do I like in a man? Physical and emotional courage, a powerful intellect, the capacity to walk softly on the earth, substance in character and knowledge, generosity, and unbearable lightness of being. That's not too much to ask, is it?? Well, I'm thinking, we are all here, middle aged and older, still seeking. We could think we are a bunch of losers, putting ourselves out in electronic format, but instead I say: what great life force this shows, we still try and we still believe something is possible. That--and an honest soul-- is enough.
