in her own words...
What I’m realizing about this process is that it’s the first time in years that I’ve taken the time to really think about who I am and who I want to be. I can applaud myself for the person I have become, but also know that I am now ready to be with a partner that can help me continue to grow and evolve into the best I can be. And that partner, my best friend, will have the same from me. I am most proud of my strength of conviction and loyalty to the people I care about. Because I do work in a field that is about making spaces more beautiful, I tend to see that beauty, dare I even say magic in people and in things. I know that I’ve inspired people and am proud that I have made a difference in their lives. It cracks me up that early on I wanted to be an opera singer (never mind if I could carry a tune – what was I thinking?!). Maybe it was my Italian roots or poetic way I like to view life. I like to think of myself as a realistic romantic. I’ve been told I’m pretty in the physical sense, pretty funny and pretty easy going. I think I’m pretty sophisticated in my style, pretty crazy about watching football on a rainy day, pretty happy about my life and pretty excited about having the courage to try to find someone fun and real to share it with. I’m not fussy or high maintenance but here are a few things you should know. I want someone who is comfortable and brings out the best in those around him. They need to be smart, have a great sense of humor, a generous and adventurous spirit. Be honest, open-minded, and laugh easily. It's important that they are respected, responsible, and enjoy their work. Common interests are great but I am also attracted to independent people. I’d like someone who enjoys going out but is happy to stay in. He should know his way around the kitchen and enjoy a good bottle of wine. He’s willing to spend a day digging in the garden with me. I’m most comfortable in jeans and I love flannel sheets with the windows open.
